with Colleen Sequeira

Colleen Sequeira, the sewing and cooking teacher, has been involved in Friends of Rail Road Flat School for several years. In addition to instructing on the basics of needlecraft, Sequeira teaches the culinary program. The students learn all the basics: using proper vocabulary and tools, sewing both by hand and machine and using a pattern. The students have made pillow cases, gloves, aprons, dresses, hand bags, trick or treat bags, and bbq aprons.

The students modeled their craftiness during a full-scale fashion show and catered tea party on May 10, at the school for a Mothers Day event where they each invited their mothers and grandmothers.
